Six Months

Six months ago yesterday my body changed yet again.  I lost some old, worn out pieces, and gained some new porcelain and metal ones.  As my body continues to become less and less human, these pieces of man-made material enable me to live a happier life.  Enable me to feel more human, more capable.

Six months ago my life changed, I can honestly say that.

Now, if only the rest of my body would get the memo.

  1. I know that feeling....don't worry the rest of your body will catch up; it just takes some time!!

So glad you are feeling better and living a happier life with your hubby and puppies...sounds familiar ;).

    Much love,

    Jenn Z.

  3. Yay! Sometimes I wish they could just get so good at replacing joints that they never wear out and just do the whole lot - problem solved! We would be super cool cyborgs.

    1. My doc is pretty hopeful that it should last a good long time. But, I am only 33 so, even a long time will probably require a replacement of the replacement.

Sometimes I think about how many replacements I'll end up with and laugh (or else I'll cry!). At what point do you cease to be human and become full-on cyborg? Maybe I've already reached that point :)
